Clinical Supervision

There are many challenges in today’s workplace, ranging from speaking honestly and directly to management and colleagues, through to mental health issues and concerns with clients.

Supervision provides a structured approach to deeper reflection on clinical practice within an organisation. Clinical supervision is a way of using reflective practice and shared experiences as a part of continuing professional development to respond to immediate short term issues in the workplace.

How often do I come to supervision?

Monthly appointments work for most people.

In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true either is true or becomes true – John Lilly

How would I benefit from monthly supervision?

Supervision assists by exploring all possible approaches so as to have more options available next time.

  • encourages healthy reflection in daily practice

  • explores the possibilities surrounding therapy with clients

  • aligns the supervisee with best practice principles and current, reliable research

  • leads to improvements in practice and client care

  • contributes to clinical risk management

  • discover and support a supervisee’s own authentic skills
